How to join the Hoosier Region Volleyball Association

You can still register the old way if you are unable to register online. Since we are a sanctioning organization that must follow certain national guidelines, there is some paperwork, and there are some rules to follow. Never fear: This handy overview page should help you understand the basics.

Please note that these do not apply to online registrants!

When you are ready to join, go to the Forms page and download the appropriate paper forms.

Here are some guidelines to keep in mind when it comes time to apply for membership. For full details on joining, see the Handbook.

If you are a junior player:

You must join the Hoosier Region via one of our sanctioned junior clubs. For details, contact a club you are interested in joining. Typically, a club will include your Hoosier Region member registration fee as part of its club fee. Both the junior player and a parent/guardian are required to sign the Hoosier Region individual registration form.

If you are an adult player:

With rare exceptions, you must join the Hoosier Region via one of our sanctioned adult teams. For details, contact a team you are interested in joining. An exception to this rule is masters players, who can join the region by sending an individual registration form directly to the region office.

If you are an adult who is affiliated with a junior club (club director, coach, chaperone, etc.):

You generally should join the Hoosier Region through your junior club. See your club director for details. Also, all adults who work directly with juniors in the Hoosier Region must undergo USAV-required background screening. See the Handbook for full details on background screening.

If you are an adult who is not affiliated with a junior club or an adult team (masters player, referee, region officer, etc.):

You can join the Hoosier Region by sending your individual registration form directly to the region office.
